There is an infinite end to the types of design layouts that web builders can use today. There are free layouts which can be easily accessed on the Web for without the need for payment, or some can be bought and personalized according to the liking of its owner. But we have noticed that over the years, there is a growing trend towards web designs being more individualistic, i.e. layouts which demonstrates the users taste, personality or products. But whatever the design that is chosen, its main objective is still to get the message and branding across to customers, visitors and readers of the website.

Design layouts have many themes. Examples include hand-drawn elements, organic textures, dark backgrounds, professional, futuristic or simple yet classic designs. An effective design can really bring a website to life and draw the attention of visitors. Even simple designs like two tone colours (e.g. black and white) can be attractive if used properly. Playing with typography and fonts can also bring a distinct edge to a website.

Due to the many designs and elements available today, web designers have always tried to merge several layout styles together to create the perfect mix. Each website tries to stand out and look different compared to competitor’s websites. A school website should generally have a simple yet ‘homely’ design to it while a lawyer website would want to have a design layout which looks elegant yet professional. A rock band website would probably want to have a dark background and a little bit gothic feel to it (maybe?) while a company selling kids toys would want to have a design layout which is colourful, cheerful and interactive for kids to have fun while surfing the site. Needless to say, it is totally up to the creativity and the imagination of the web builder to come up with amazing layouts to increase traffic flow to the website.

In today’s article, we have browsed the Internet and selected 30 creative and unique design layouts for you to view. These websites caught our attention the moment we laid our eyes on them and we hope you feel the same way too. Who knows, maybe you would like to alter one of these designs by a little bit and come up with a design layout for your own website. Enjoy!
